10 Days of NVC Practice - New Year’s Challenge


This might be for you if:

You’re drawn to NVC, perhaps you’ve attended a workshop or two, and you want to build a bit more fluency with it, but you’re not really sure how to practise. You can’t attend workshops all the time! And you’d like some guidance in practising NVC outside of a workshop setting.

Or:

You’ve read a bit about NVC, or come across it online, and you’re interested, but you’re not sure you want to commit to going to something in person. You’d like a chance to explore it in a low-commitment way from the comfort of your own home

Or:

You’ve never heard of NVC, but you’re interested in personal growth and inner exploration, and you like the idea of doing a 10 day personal development challenge and a bit of self-reflection as we start into a new year.

Or:

You’re an NVC practitioner, and you’re also someone who appreciates devoting time to self-reflection and intention setting at this time of year. You love the idea of a challenge that offers those things through an NVC lens

What you’ll get:

Once you purchase the course, you’ll be added to a Whatsapp Group where I post the daily practices, and invited to join a second private group (optional) where you can share your reflections with others taking part in this challenge

Each day from the 7th to 16th January 2026 I’ll post in the Whatsapp group. Every day you’ll receive a pdf of instructions for that day’s practice, and a short video from me providing an NVC teaching point related to that day’s prompt, and / or some insights on how I use this practice myself, and what kind of pitfalls to watch out for.

The daily practices are designed to take from 10 minutes to an hour each day (you choose how thoroughly you explore them and how much time you commit). You’ll have 24 hours to complete the day’s challenge. I don’t plan to remove the content after the 24 hours, so this will still be accessible longterm unless Whatsapp makes significant changes to the platform.

You’ll be supported by a structure and daily rhythm that will help to keep you accountable for the 10 days. At the same time, there won’t be any pressure to meet deadlines, and if you’re unable to complete the task on any particular day you can choose to catch up the next day.

Through practising on a daily basis, you’ll start to build muscle-memory and fluency with NVC, so it becomes more readily accessible to you in your day-to-day life. As you have continued access to the NVC practice materials provided, you also have the option to continue your practice, and repeat any of the exercises in your own time.

You’ll also experience the sense of being part of a group sharing a challenge with others – and you have the option of connecting with each other through the private Whatsapp group (and perhaps building connections so you can continue to practice together in future).

What we’ll Explore:

  • Building familiarity with needs to help you get more fluent in identifying and connecting with your own needs and those of other people

  • Building awareness of your own thought patterns, and shedding light on any tendencies towards judgements, blame and criticism

  • Tracking your daily interactions with NVC awareness, and practising putting skills into action in your daily life

  • Techniques for self-regulation and becoming more compassionate towards yourself

  • Looking back and reflecting on the year that has passed through the lens of needs consciousness

  • Stepping forward into the New Year with intention and needs awareness. How will you live in integrity with your values in the year to come?

About me:

I first encountered Nonviolent Communication around 20 years ago, when I stumbled upon Marshall Rosenberg’s book in a charity shop. Reading it had a huge impact on me, and changed the way I perceived relationships. I later began training in NVC, and haven’t looked back since. I now host regular trainings and workshops, often in collaboration with my partner, Aaron Bailey. You can read more about me here
